about seventies hairstyles
I started to like my mom’s hairstyles back when I was still twelve. My mom would often tell me that I looked good on this hair clip, or I appeared like this beautiful commercial model with my hair. I still remember how I pretended to be a shampoo model, flaunting various hairstyles in front of my aunts and cousins. It has always been my favorite event whenever I needed to dress up and do some tricks on my hair for a friend’s birthday party. My mom is really a spoiler. Up to now that I am a bit mature, my mom still supplies me with hairstyle magazines, hairsprays and never forgets to visit me and make chitchats about how she looks on her latest hair.
Because of my pre-teenage “hairstyle moods”, I now learn how to put some art and style on my looks. Indeed, hair is every woman’s crowning glory. Last year, I had my hair cut because that was the trend. At first when I called up my boyfriend to tell him that I had my hair cut, he got mad but when he saw how it was fashionably cut, he became more in love with me. Now, I have a long hair and once in a while, I fix it up depending on what I recently see on magazines or what my friend who’s working in a salon tells me.
I realize that hair trends just come and go, and then they come back again. It’s just similar to clothes styles. That’s why I keep hold on old hair fashion pictures, because I might never know when these trends will be new again.
Because of my mom’s influence and my boyfriend’s praises on my hair, almost everyday, I end up including this “hair-style check-out” on my routines. It makes me feel great knowing that hairstyles simply brighten my day.
