I thought then that headbands were just accessories to augment the beauty and good looks of the hair. I am nothing against wearing headbands but I never really given much attention that kind of hair stuff. I always find headbands attractive because of its various styles and colors. Headbands also can help brighten up the face especially when “baby bangs” get into the face.
During the seventies, headbands were really on its peak of popularity most especially for those who were fond of following latest hair trends. My mom, as always was aware of that. And the reason why I can tell how great headbands were by the time of seventies, is because my mother knew it all.
According to my mom, headbands before, were cute stuffs with ribbon on its side. These headbands could also be made up of ribbon itself tied around the head of a little girl or a lady ready to go out for a date. My mom even told me a story how my dad was in great admiration seeing her beautiful face while wearing a headband.
Today, there are still many headbands which are now on different styles and colors. Many are also making headbands out of various types of materials. Of course, I tried wearing one in my wonder of how I would look with a headband. I looked a little younger, and many said that it seemed like with a headband, I looked like a very modest and simple lady.
I felt great about how people appreciated my looks. Headbands have a different kind of appeal or attraction to people especially to men. It adds up to the real beauty that every woman possesses, and wearing one makes a lady feel how good it is to be someone that men admire and appreciate.
