Thanks Mom for My Seventies Hairstyle

by Marianne

I was an active student back in my elementary days, and to top it all, I was in every school event giving a sort of entertainment to everyone present. I memorized all the dance grooves and performed them in our school programs. Of course, whenever I did one, I occasionally asked my mom to help me look at my best. I always got the finest costumes and I got the best hair dress. My mom is a hairdresser herself and an excellent hair stylist. She used to show me a bulk of seventies hairstyles pictures. She actually collected all those to serve as her pattern whenever she had to fix my hair up for school programs.
With my shoulder-length hair, I was fond of asking my mom to style up my hair like what my favorite actresses have. They call it as sort of “fly-away hair” with a headband that almost covers my head. Some females hate such kind of hair, especially today’s trend is a straight long black hair. But I personally find it very boring and plain. So, what I do either when there’s a special occasion I need to go to or just a simple day, I set my hair with my seventies hairstyle taught by my mom. To add more life to it and to uncover the beauty in it, I also follow the seventies trendy outfits like mini skirt and psychedelic blouses. Wooden bracelets are also in time to wear. That’s why I bought myself one. Good thing, I don’t have to take risk in mix-matching my clothes to make a good pair for my hairstyle. Though exploring new styles out of old ones is challenging, I just feel great with my looks.
I now have my own techniques in styling my hair up. Most of my friends in fact consult me for their hair fashion. Thanks to my mom who introduced to me the brilliant idea of taking seventies hairstyles to my present hair habits.
